Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales Leadership & Strategy Refinement:

  • Global Sales Strategy: Validate and drive Virscient’s global sales strategy, ensuring
    alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Market Prioritization: Expanding our Channel partners and client base in across
    international markets.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with relevant teams, including engineering,
    product development, and customer success, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales
    and recommend improvements that support the sales strategy.
  • Sales Plan Development: Develop and establish frameworks for creating and reviewing
    sales plans that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

2. Business Development Manager (Partner Channels)

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, engage, and cultivate strategic
    relationships with silicon vendors, chip manufacturers, and distribution partners to drive
    business growth and expand market reach.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, emerging
    opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the semiconductor industry.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive business growth by identifying new revenue streams, upselling
    existing products/services, and closing deals with end customers, to expand the
    company’s presence in target markets.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement
    targeted sales strategies that align with company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead Generation: Bring in new leads from your commercial networks and through
    nurtured partner channels and follow up on leads sourced from other channels. Allocate
    leads to appropriate sales team members as agreed with the sales manager.
  • Deal Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, partnerships, and distribution
    agreements, ensuring favourable terms that align with company goals.
  • Sales Closing: Close sales opportunities to meet revenue objectives, ensuring that sales
    targets are consistently achieved.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including
    engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure alignment on product
    offerings, market positioning, and customer needs.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term
    relationships with key stakeholders within target companies to ensure customer
    satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business
    development activities, market trends, and sales forecasts

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account
    management within the semiconductor industry, specifically focused on silicon vendors
    and/or chip/module distribution.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, including key
    players, particularly with tech partners such as Nordic, Infineon, STMicroelectronics,
    Analog Devices, NXP Semiconductors and so forth, market dynamics, and technological
    trends. Possess significant experience and knowledge in both software and hardware
    engineering services
  • Network: Established network within the silicon vendor and chip/module distribution ecosystem.

within complex technical markets, with expertise in negotiating contracts, partnerships, and
agreements to secure favorable terms that support company goals.

    Demonstrate strong networking skills to build, maintain, and leverage relationships with key
    stakeholders such as silicon vendors, chip manufacturers, and distribution partners, while
    focusing on understanding and meeting the needs of clients to ensure high levels of customer
    satisfaction and loyalty
  • Industry Understanding and Product Insight
    Demonstrate solid knowledge of silicon technology, chip design, and module distribution,
    enabling effective communication with technical teams and clients, while being able to
    understand and explain complex technical products and services to ensure alignment
    between client needs and product offerings.
  • Collaborative Influence and Analytical Problem-Solving
    Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with engineering, product development,
    marketing, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and drive results. Skilled in
    influencing internal and external stakeholders to support and execute strategic initiatives,
    while leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and
    capitalize on opportunities in a dynamic market environment.
  • Critical Thinking and Communication
    Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong data-driven
    decision-making and problem-solving abilities to analyze market data, sales performance,
    and industry trends, addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities in a dynamic
    environment. Exhibit clear communication skills to articulate complex ideas and strategies
    persuasively to senior management, clients, and partners, along with high competence in
    delivering compelling presentations to diverse audiences, including executives and technical
    teams. Display adaptability and resilience by remaining flexible in rapidly changing market
    conditions and persevering through challenges while maintaining a positive, proactive
    approach to achieve key objectives.
